A fresh experience

Musically, the roots of my passion for music grew through the fertile soil of Jamaican music, rock, funk, soul, hip-hop, and jazz. But a lifetime of exploring new musical ideas and sounds has also led to a deep love of electronic music; from Musique concrète and the spatial audio experiments of Suzanne Ciani to Detroit techno and UK bass music. I am always open to new ideas and approach sound with curiosity guided by the belief that there is no such thing as bad music, only music not yet fully understood.

A central part of my creative identity lies in my passion for field recording, and location sound. I view the act of capturing sound in situ as both a technical craft, and a deeply reflective, ecological process. From urban environments to remote landscapes, I am drawn to the sonic textures of place, and the ways in which environmental sound can inform and inspire composition. This interest often intersects with my work in electronic music, where location recordings are layered, transformed, and recontextualised within ambient, dub, and techno frameworks.

As an artist, my production style is rooted in generative ambient music, dub techniques, and experimental electronic forms. Beyond my solo work, I also operate as a sound designer, audio engineer, and producer - comfortable recording, mixing, and mastering a wide range of musical genres and multimedia contexts.

Technically fluent in software such as Ableton Live, Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, I integrate audio and visual tools to build immersive and emotionally resonant experiences. Whether capturing the subtle intricacies of a forest at dawn, or designing complex electronic compositions in the studio, I aim to create work that listens deeply to the world and encourages others to do the same.
